Description

Kasteel van Gaasbeek is set in a 49-hectare 17th-century park, featuring both impressive avenues and small walking paths. The buildings are historically connected to the castle by the Baroque Sint-Gertrudiskapel, the Gloriëtte with its unique stucco ceiling, the neo-Gothic barn, the octagon, and the classicist triumphal arch. Together with the three large ponds, this is the perfect place to unwind. A visit to the castle stimulates all your senses. Surprising exhibitions with contemporary artists give our heritage a bold twist. Our website and newsletters keep you thoroughly informed about these activities. Inside the castle, you will also find a library and an archive (both accessible by appointment), a museum shop, and a regional visitor center. The castle park, with its centuries-old trees, ponds, avenues, winding paths, and scattered historic buildings, is an ideal place for relaxation. The estate also features the unique museum garden, where old fruit and vegetable varieties are cherished. The castle closes each winter. Open from July 2 to November 5, every Sunday from 1 PM to 5 PM. At this location, you can admire a Flemish Master. More info at vlaamsemeestersophunplek.be
